Musa Khani Mansion
The Musa Khan Mansion comprises various sections, ranging from the *Shah-neshin* (the grand reception hall) to the grain storehouse. Listed as a National Heritage site of Iran, it currently serves as the Shahr-e Babak Ethnography Museum. Construction of the edifice began in 1227 and was completed in 1232 (Solar Hijri calendar). The mansion stands as a prime example of traditional architecture, showcasing the artistry, aesthetic sensibility, and skill of Iranian architects. Unique decorative elements—featuring wire-and-coin motifs—adorn various parts of the façade, while animal motifs (such as doves), botanical designs (including cypress trees and floral patterns), and geometric motifs (such as linear moldings and paneling) characterize different sections of the structure.
This building is located in Shahr-e Babak, Kerman Province.
